Austin A35: how many are still registered?
2,133still registered
Austin A35 cars still registered with DVLA (licensed or SORN), across 1 recorded variant.
840 of the survivors (39.3%) are declared off-road (SORN) rather than taxed.
One car drawn per 10 on the road - there are too many left to draw one each. Pick variants from the list to colour them in.
Derivatives
DVLA also registers other body types under the Austin A35 nameplate. Each is counted on its own page, so every figure on this one is cars only.
By year
All 2,133 surviving Austin A35 cars, by the year each was built - not how many were on the road at the time. DVLA records a build year for only 555 of them; the rest are registered without one and cannot be placed on the year-built bars.
Cars joining a UK register each year, and how many of that year's arrivals are still registered now (the darker part of each bar). For an import this is the year it arrived, not the year it was built. DVLA's first-registration series starts in 2001, well after the Austin A35 was being sold new, so these are almost entirely imports rather than the car's original sales.

Engine size and fuel
What is on the road now: the surviving Austin A35 cars split by engine capacity and by fuel, as recorded 2025. Engine sizes are DVLA's own bands and cover only the cars it holds a capacity for.
